East and West Midlands Branch Visit

Leicester Museum of Science and Technology, Arts and Craft Steam Day (at 2:15 pm)

IMA members and friends are invited to attend an informal visit

to Belgrave Hall and Leicester Museum of Science and Technology Arts and Craft Steam Day and to meet other IMA members.  The event is suitable for non-members and children.

 

Belgrave Hall, Church Road, off Thurcaston Road, Leicester  LE4 5PE.

Leicester Museum of Science and Technology, Abbey Pumping Station Museum, Corporation Road, Leicester  LE4 5PX.  The two venues are a short walk apart, about 500 metres.  Both venues can be located by entering the postcode into http://www.multimap.co.uk/

 

Meet for visit, 1:00 pm or 2:15 pm

at the relevant venue.

 

Entry to Belgrave Hall is free of charge. 

For the Steam Day there is a charge of £3.50 adults, £7.00 family,

£2.00 children/concessions.

 

Belgrave Hall is an interesting house and gardens, run by Leicester City Council.  Leicester Museum of Science and Technology is based at Abbey Pumping Station, and as well as the Museum and Steam Day, the beam engine in the museum will be operating.  For further information of the two venues, access http://www.leicestermuseums.ac.uk/
