Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council's Consultation - "Knowledge Transfer Accounts: Mobilising User Relevant Postgraduate Research and Training"

The Institute acknowledges the proposed new approach to the funding of university postgraduate research and training as a move towards a more "strategic and holistic" model. However, the emerging philosophy of dividing EPSRC funding into two rigidly ideological categories of "research training" and "knowledge transfer" is viewed with mixed feelings by the Institute.
