8th International Conference on Modelling in Industrial Maintenance and Reliability (MIMAR)

Date 10-12 July 2014
Location Wadham and St Catherine’s Colleges, University of Oxford

Programme

The 8th International Conference on Modelling in Industrial Maintenance and Reliability (MIMAR) will take place in Oxford, UK from 10 – 12 July 2014. This event is the premier maintenance and reliability modelling conference in the UK and builds upon a very successful series of previous conferences. It is an excellent international forum for disseminating information on the state-of-the-art research, theories and practices in maintenance and reliability modelling and offers a platform for connecting researchers and practitioners from around the world.

Abstract and paper submission deadlines are listed below. All submissions are subject to rigorous review before an acceptance decision is made.

We hope you can attend and we will provide a warm welcome in Oxford in 2014. Please note that there has been a slight change in date for this conference.

Papers on the following topics were invited to be presented in oral and poster sessions:

  • Decision Analysis and Methods
  • Engineering Economy and Cost Analysis
  • Healthcare Systems and Management
  • Human Factors
  • Information Processing and Engineering
  • Life cycle/performance analysis
  • Logistics
  • Manufacturing Systems
  • Expert Elicitation
  • Operations Research
  • Production Planning and Control
  • Quality Control and Management
  • Reliability and Maintenance Engineering
  • Safety, Security and Risk Management
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Systems Modelling and Simulation
  • Value Chain Management
  • Warranty Management and Data Analysis

Publication

All submissions will be peer reviewed. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, which will be indexed by Engineering Index (EI). Two special SCI journal issues will be dedicated to the conference: one in IMA Journal of Management Mathematics and one in Mathematical Problems in Engineering. Papers submitted to these special issues must extend the work published in the conference proceedings and will be subject to the standard peer review processes of these journals.

Selected Papers

There will be a special issue of the IMA Journal of Management Mathematics dedicated to the conference.Submitted papers will be peer reviewed in the normal way. Where a paper has appeared in the conference proceedings, it must be extended to include new material;  otherwise it cannot be considered for the special issue. Manuscripts for the special issue must be submitted online at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/imaman by 17th October 2014, and marked “for the MIMAR 2014 special issue”. Papers should be prepared according to the journal guidelines:
http://www.oxfordjournals.org/our_journals/imaman/for_authors/index.html

There will be a special issue of Mathematical Problems in Engineering: please find further details including deadlines and guidelines on the webpage: http://www.hindawi.com/journals/mpe/si/193012/cfp/. Papers submitted must extend the work published in the conference proceedings and will be subject to the standard peer review processes of this journal.
Please note that the submission deadline is 4 July 2014, and when submitting please mention that you are MIMAR participants.
