ECMIMIM: Concepts of mathematical modeling in the curriculum of mathematics in industry

Interaction with industry is a desirable aim for European studies to contribute to the progress of European industry.

The ECMIMIM project, a European project in the framework of ECMI, is intending to establish an innovative model of a set of European Master Programmes in Industrial Mathematics. These master programmes shall be implemented in European universities in such a way that they fit the general model curriculum but allowing special features of each university to flow in. 

The aim of the minisymposium is to discuss different concepts of mathematical modeling to be implemented in the model curriculum. Topics of the minisymposium are the concept of modelling competence, the importance of teaching continuous modelling during the study, in particular via e-courses  and  the cooperation of universities and industry by means of study groups.
