Membership Profiles

The Institute of Mathematics and its Applications has a diverse membership that ranges from university students through qualified professionals to those retired but still interested and involved.

Because mathematics is ubiquitous, so is our membership base. We currently have around 5,000 members, of whom about forty percent are employed in education (schools through to universities), with most of the rest in commercial, industrial and governmental organisations. Ten percent of members live outside the United Kingdom.

The Institute of Mathematics and its Applications is where any mathematician or person interested in mathematics can come to find something to interest them and form networks with others who share their passion.
